I am Anne-Mei Ling Chin. During my studies, I spent time living in Singapore and Hong Kong, where I discovered one of my favourite restaurants, Din Tai Fung. Their dumplings ignited a curiosity that soon grew into a passion. That's when I founded May Amsterdam.

Cooking has always been a part of my life, but making dumplings feels especially meaningful. The craft of folding them by hand connects me to my Surinamese-Chinese roots and allows me to explore all facets of my identity. It’s a process that blends tradition, creativity and care. The same values I bring into everything I create with May Amsterdam.
